MD/VA/WV/PA-Area Paddling Guidebooks

Please send corrections, suggestions for aditions/updates to the BRV Webmaster.

Here's a brief list of guidebooks about thousands of runnable, Mid-Atlantic area streams. They are wonderfully written and provide more dependable details than you can find Facebook or many AW pages.

Kudos to the authors and to the many non-published contibutors credited in each tome, particularly BRV's own Ron Knipling, Ed Evangelidi, among many others. Many thanks especially to whitewater pioneers Randy Carter and Lou Matacia, whose legacy guidebooks are now out of print.

Please try to purchase new editions from a local paddling retailer or the author's current publisher.

For the latest Maryland/Delaware, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania bibles, see Ed Gertler's new webpage.
